Kathy Rossmann, RN, BSN, FAAM received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1977 from Arizona State University. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in hospitals in Arizona, Denver, and Grand Junction. Kathy became interested in permanent make-up, also called micropigmentation, when she realized that her nursing skills and her experience as an artist would be a perfect blend in this field.

Certified as a dermatechnician by the American Institute for Permanent Color Technology in 1993, Kathy was also accepted as a member of the American Council on Dermagraphic Research. In 1994, she completed an advanced internship training. Later in the same year, Kathy passed the 2-day proficiency examination to become one of the first 16 people to be Board Certified by the American Academy of Micropigmentation. Additionally, in 1994 she was certified in the procedure of Multitrepannic Collagen Actuation for scar camouflage.

Kathy remains the first person to be Board Certified in Colorado, plus 6 other states in the surrounding region. Since 1993, she has performed procedures for over 5,000 people. She continues working part-time at St. Mary's Hospital as a Registered Nurse on a Medical/Surgical Unit.
